ABOUT BLUE OAK
Blue Oak is a full service production company, specializing in narrative entertainment, documentaries, and commercial/brand storytelling. At our core, we’re a company of storytellers.
Our name, Blue Oak, was born out of the idea that stories are generational. They are firmly rooted in universal, human tradition- like a strong oak in the soil. It’s our mission to branch out beyond the ordinary by crafting innovative stories and messages that resonate while standing the test of time.
Blue Oak began as an experiment between four, like-minded storytellers. How can we tell stories, both entertainment and branded content, that connect and inspire while shaking up the traditional production process? What we landed on was a form of operation that prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and most importantly- communicating your story to the right audience.
Since that experiment began, Blue Oak has told stories that have appeared in film festivals around the country and have created captivating content for brands/organizations across a variety of industries. Video is all about connection, and that’s what Blue Oak aims to do. Connect.
At Blue Oak, we don’t think the word ‘content’ does enough justice to the power that media can have in shaping the perception of an organization.
That’s why we tackle commercial video from a storytelling perspective. Blue Oak is composed of multi-faceted storytellers: producers, directors, writers, editors, composers, audio technicians, cinematographers, drone pilots and more- all bound by a common work history.
This creates an environment of communication and trust- two items that are essential in highly dynamic environments like film sets. Efficiency and consistency are the cornerstones of Blue Oak’s foundation
